Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Treesable is operated by Acrypt, based in Denmark. When this policy refers to "we", "us", or "our", it means Acrypt. You can reach us at hello@treesable.com.

2. Data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the Treesable app:

• ·Account information — full name, email address, and profile photo when you create an account.
• ·Tree measurements — diameter (BHD), species, GPS coordinates, and photos you capture, stored on your device.
• ·Plant identification photos — sent to our plant identification provider (PlantNet) to identify species; not stored on our servers.
• ·Location data — GPS coordinates you capture are used to tag tree measurements and are not linked to your identity.
• ·Subscription status — purchase and subscription status is managed by Apple and shared with us to unlock Pro features.
• ·Website sign-ups — if you sign up for updates on treesable.com, we store your email address and sign-up date. Your IP address is processed transiently to prevent abuse and is not stored long-term.

We do not collect more than what is listed above, and we do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.

Treesable is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at hello@treesable.com and we will delete it.

3. How we use your data

• ·To provide tree measurement, plant identification, and environmental impact calculations.
• ·To authenticate your account and sync your profile across your devices.
• ·To create your personal nature map and track your environmental discoveries.
• ·To track your achievements, streaks, and environmental impact over time.

We will never sell your data or use it for unrelated marketing.

4. Data storage & security

• ·Local storage — tree measurements, photos, and reports are stored on your device.
• ·Account sync — your profile (name, email, avatar) is stored securely with our backend provider, Supabase, hosted in the USA (with EU data transfer safeguards).
• ·No ad tracking — we do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.
• ·Data export — exporting your measurement data as CSV, JSON, or PDF from within the app is a Treesable Pro feature. Every user can also request a free copy of their personal data in a machine-readable format (CSV or JSON) by emailing hello@treesable.com.
• ·Data deletion — you can delete your account and data at any time by contacting us.

5. Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent and, where applicable, to perform our contract with you (providing the app and any Treesable Pro subscription). You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@treesable.com and we will delete your data promptly.

6. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Treesable:

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to keep your data protected.

7. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as you remain an active Treesable user. If you delete your account or ask us to remove it, we delete your data within 30 days.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR you have the right to:

• ·Access the personal data we hold about you.
• ·Receive a copy of your personal data in a machine-readable format (CSV or JSON), free of charge. Pro users can export it directly in the app; anyone can request it at hello@treesable.com.
• ·Correct any inaccurate data.
• ·Request deletion of your account and data ("right to be forgotten").
• ·Object to or restrict how we process your data.
• ·Withdraw consent at any time.
• ·Lodge a complaint with Datatilsynet (the Danish Data Protection Authority) at datatilsynet.dk.

9. Cookies

The Treesable app and website do not use tracking cookies or advertising analytics.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Treesable after changes constitutes acceptance.
